X-Series: Turning Challenges into Reliable Power

X-Series: Turning Challenges into Reliable Power - Jubaili Bros

Jubaili Bros Nigeria has successfully completed the installation, testing, and commissioning of the first Marapco MP1500 generator set powered by the new Perkins 5012 engine

Jubaili Bros Nigeria has successfully completed the installation, testing, and commissioning of the first Marapco MP1500 generator set powered by the new Perkins 5012 engine — marking a major milestone in our commitment to delivering dependable and innovative power solutions to our customers.

Project Overview

The project was initiated to resolve a major performance challenge faced by the customer, whose existing 4012 Series engine struggled to tolerate high step-load conditions.

Instead of recommending a complete genset replacement, which would have required substantial investment, our team proposed the 5012 Series Engine (1500kVA) as a smart, targeted solution.

This approach provided multiple benefits:

  • Improved Load Handling: The 5012 Series is engineered to handle high step-loads efficiently, ensuring smoother and more stable operations.
  • Cost Efficiency: By upgrading to the new engine rather than purchasing a larger generator, the customer achieved significant savings in CAPEX and OPEX, including fuel and maintenance costs.
  • Sustainability: Enhanced fuel efficiency reduces both operating costs and environmental impact.

This project highlights Jubaili Bros’ customer-centric approach — providing tailored, cost-effective, and sustainable solutions that meet operational demands without compromising reliability or performance.

Testing and Commissioning Excellence

The testing and commissioning process was carried out in close collaboration with the customer’s engineering team and Perkins specialists, ensuring the highest standards of performance validation.

Key steps included:

  • Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT): Conducted prior to shipment with the Perkins team to ensure full compliance with design and performance specifications.
  • Site Acceptance Testing (SAT): Onsite tests were performed to confirm operational readiness and load performance under real-world conditions.
  • Performance Monitoring: Jubaili Bros installed a dedicated monitoring device to track live performance metrics during commissioning. Additionally, the Jubaili Bros Connected Asset system was integrated for ongoing, daily monitoring and performance validation.

Powering Progress

The successful completion of this project marks a proud achievement for Jubaili Bros Nigeria — demonstrating our technical expertise, customer commitment, and innovation in delivering Marapco power solutions that combine reliability, efficiency, and long-term value.

Customer Testimonial

"The new generator you supplied is working very well—so far, so good. We have observed very stable performance, even during load peaks and load drops. Its operation remains consistently smooth and reliable. I believe this model is one of the best choices for manufacturing factories, especially for heavy-duty equipment like plastic machines and compressors.”
